What HostForge Atlas processes when you use the calculator, follow an external link, or optionally request hosting contact.

Updated

Calculator and guide use

The sizing calculator runs in your browser. Selected calculator values may appear in the page address so you can share them. HostForge does not require an account, set a calculator cookie, store calculator answers in a HostForge database, or load a third-party analytics tracker by default.

Basic service requests

The web service receives the normal information needed to answer a request, such as the requested path, browser headers, and network address. HostForge uses a one-way hash of hostname and network address for its short in-process submission rate bucket. Application logs are designed not to contain contact details or secrets.

External links

When you open an official provider or purchase link, the destination receives a normal browser request and applies its own privacy practices. HostForge does not add contact-form details to a standard linkout. A paid link is labeled beside the link.

Optional hosting contact

Contact intake is disabled until the operator completes legal and production gates. If it opens, the separate form collects first and last name, email address, phone number, and closed workload answers. It also records consent evidence, submission and Path identifiers, observed dwell time, browser and network evidence, attribution values allowed by the server, and Global Privacy Control status.

The form shows the exact named recipients and contact disclosure before consent. Consent begins unchecked. The HostForge edge validates the request and sends an authenticated payload to Arbor, which owns the operational consent, suppression, lead, and delivery records.

Global Privacy Control and choices

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control with a contact submission, HostForge signs and forwards that signal to Arbor. Arbor treats the signal as sticky for its do-not-sell handling. See Privacy choices for request options.

Security and retention

HostForge uses same-origin checks, bounded request bodies, server-minted sessions, minimum dwell, a honeypot, rate limits, and an authenticated HostForge-to-Arbor handoff. Exact production retention, controller identity, recipient agreements, and legal scope require operator and counsel approval before intake can open.
